Lisa Anson

Chief Executive Officer

Appointed in 2018, Lisa Anson has led the transformation of Redx into a clinical stage biotech with two programmes in clinical development and a growing pipeline of preclinical assets. During this time the company also secured major partnership deals for four assets with large and speciality pharma and secured long term financing with new blue chip life science focused investors.

Prior to joining Redx, Lisa had significant leadership experience in global pharmaceuticals over a 20-year career at AstraZeneca plc with her appointment in 2012 as President of AstraZeneca UK having held a series of senior commercial leadership roles in the company both the US and the UK. Lisa is also a key player in the industry, and in 2018 she was elected to the Board of the Bio Industry Association (BIA). Previously Lisa has been President of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and member of the board, where she chaired several UK industry committees and worked closely with the UK Government. Lisa started her career as a management consultant in London before moving to California with a cancer disease management company,

Lisa holds an MBA (awarded with distinction) from INSEAD, France and a First-Class honours degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University in the UK. Lisa currently lives in Cheshire with her husband and three children.

Peter Collum

Chief Financial Officer

Peter has over 24 years of experience in the biopharma industry, most recently as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer of Pharnext SA, a public late-stage biotech company focused on combination drug approaches in orphan neurology. Previously, he spent 17 years in healthcare investment banking at both Bank of America and MTS Health Partners, focused on M&A, financing and business development transactions for both public and private life sciences companies in the US and abroad. He started his career in the pharma industry as an engineer at Roche. Peter holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from the Rutgers University College of Engineering, and lives in northern New Jersey with his wife and three children.

Dr. Caroline Phillips

Chief Scientific Officer

Caroline Phillips joined Redx in 2015 and held a number of senior management roles before being appointed Chief Scientific Officer in May 2024. Caroline has extensive experience in drug discovery and early clinical development, with over 25 years’ industry experience including 14 years at AstraZeneca. Caroline has been instrumental in the development of Redx’s oncology pipeline, including progressing Redx’s lead oncology asset, RXC004, a potential best-in-class, orally bioavailable porcupine inhibitor into clinical studies. Additionally, Caroline has led many of the discovery projects from early-stage target selection through pre-clinical testing and has also been fundamental in securing research collaborations and partnerships with Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

Caroline has a PhD in pharmacology form the University of Cambridge.

Dr. Cliff Jones

Chief Technical Officer

Cliff Jones joined Redx in July 2015 and was appointed Chief Innovation Officer in May 2024. Throughout his time at Redx, Cliff has been responsible for the Chemistry and DMPK teams, leading the medicinal, synthetic, computational chemistry & DMPK delivery across fibrosis and oncology targets. Cliff has broad medicinal chemistry and drug discovery expertise including hit finding strategies/ hit identification, lead generation/optimisation and the delivery of clinical candidates, along with extensive experience of intellectual property strategies.

Prior to Redx, Cliff gained 17 years of drug discovery experience with AstraZeneca, leading teams working against a wide range of oncology targets that delivered multiple clinical candidates into development. He completed his first degree and PhD at the University of Nottingham.

Dr. Helen Timmis

Chief Medical Officer

Helen joined Redx in February 2022 as a Senior Medical Director from Galapagos, a Belgian biotech company, where she was working on compounds targeting conditions in dermatology, gastroenterology and rheumatology. Helen has an MBChB from the University of Leicester and originally trained in obstetrics and gynaecology before moving to ICON Development Solutions to work on Phase 1 clinical trials.

She brings over 16 years’ experience in industry in a variety of inflammatory and fibrosis indications. Helen maintains her registration with the General Medical Council and is an affiliate member of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. She lives in Manchester with her husband and three children.

Caitlin Pearson

Head of Communications

Caitlin joined Redx as Head of Communications in April 2022.

Prior to this, Caitlin spent six years as Head of Communications at Tissue Regenix Group plc, an AIM listed regenerative medical device company, where she supported the Company through two rounds of funding, and the acquisition of CellRight Technologies.

Before joining Tissue Regenix, Caitlin worked at MTC, a Sports Talent Management agency, where she was responsible for marketing and public relations for a number of high-profile athletes across global events including the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Caitlin holds a B.A. Honours degree in Law and American Studies and an MSc in Business Management.

Dr. Nicolas Guisot

VP, Head of Development Science

Nicolas joined Redx in April 2013.

Nicolas is an experienced project leader with more than 15 years of experience in small-molecule drug discovery and clinical development across multiple therapeutic areas (oncology, inflammation and fibrosis) and various target classes (enzymes, kinases, ion channels). Nicolas’ expertise spans the fields of medicinal chemistry, CMC and ADMET from hit finding to IND-enabling studies and early clinical development.

Nicolas has a track record of delivering multiple projects from early exploratory science through to clinical development, and has taken a lead role in a number of the Redx assets including marketed BTK reversible inhibitor Jaypirca^TM. (Pirtobrutinib, LOXO-305, RXC005) that was divested to Loxo Oncology in 2017 (now owned by Eli Lilly), RXC002, a BTK irreversible inhibitor and RXC007, a ROCK2 selective inhibitor currently in Phase 2a in IPF.

Before joining Redx Pharma, Nicolas was a contract research chemist at Eli Lilly.

Prior to this, Nicolas was a postdoctoral research fellow and worked as research scientist in organic, medicinal chemistry and chemical biology in various universities across Ireland and France.

Nicolas holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Salford and a Master of Science in chemistry of biomolecules from Université de Montpellier.

Helen McKeever

VP, Head of Nonclinical Development

Helen joined Redx in November 2015 initially as Preclinical Development Manager, with responsibility for delivery of drug candidates from nomination to first-in-man clinical studies across oncology and immunology/ fibrosis targets. She became Head of Nonclinical Operations in 2021, with a broad range of expertise delivering all aspects of early development programs, including drug substance and drug product manufacture, nonclinical and regulatory support. In July 2023, Helen was also appointed as Zelasudil Programme Manager, leading the cross-functional project team which defines and drives the strategic direction of zelasudil to ensure timely scientific and clinical value creation across the lifecycle of the compound.

Prior to Redx, Helen gained 21 years’ experience in nonclinical drug development at Labcorp (formerly Covance), 5 years in GMP manufacturing at Almac Sciences, and was Head of Project Management at Concept life Sciences. She has also held program leader/ director roles within small biotech companies Almac Discovery and HOX Therapeutics. Helen completed her degree at the University of Salford.

Craig Tilston

Head of Development Operations

Craig has over 20 years’ experience of managing clinical trials in all phases across a wide variety of therapeutic areas including Oncology, Cardiovascular Disease, CNS and several niche indications.

He started his career in the industry within CRO’s before moving into Pharma where he occupied various leadership roles, tasked with supporting the clinical and commercial strategy, driving operational performance and building high performing teams. Craig holds a BSc in Chemistry and BA in law from the University of Exeter. He lives in the North West of the UK with his wife and son.
